SYLMAR (CBS) — Crews Friday were mopping up a house fire in Sylmar.
The blaze in the 12800 block of Bombay Street broke out just before 3 p.m. near El Cariso Park.
Sky9 reporter Mike Case said a police helicopter noticed the fire and immediately alerted authorities.
No serious injuries were reported and there was no word yet on the cause.
“This house is a total loss,” said Case, who added that, 50-to-100 foot flames could be seen near the park off Hubbard Street.
No other information was immediately available.
