Jerome Williams Still Resting In Hospital

Update: Williams on Twitter, "Wanted to let everyone know that I'm feeling better. Gonna get some rest so I can be back on that mound competing again."

ANAHEIM (AP) — Los Angeles Angels right-hander Jerome Williams is still resting at a hospital after undergoing several tests and staying overnight.

Williams was hospitalized Monday night when he complained of shortness of breath after he left his start against the San Francisco Giants.

The Angels say Williams is expected to be released later Tuesday.

Angels outfielder Torii Hunter says Williams "passed out" in the clubhouse after leaving the 5-3 loss to the Giants in the fourth inning. The team didn't confirm Williams passed out.

Williams (6-5) gave up seven hits and four runs to the Giants in his third straight defeat and second-shortest outing of the season. The veteran is the fifth starter in the Angels' rotation, improbably revitalizing his career last year and returning to the majors after a four-year absence.
