LOS ANGELES (CBS) The high priced outfielder Vernon Wells will be out longer than expected as his thumb is not healing properly.
Wells, who had surgery in late May on this thumb, was transferred from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL Tuesday by the Angels.
Wells will not return to the lineup until after the All-Star break, which will give Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo more chances to play.
Angels will face the Dodgers tonight On KCAL 9 at 7PM in part of a three-game series at Chavez Ravine.
