Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (June 12)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — We are waking up to low clouds once again this morning. However, we can expect a burn-off similar to yesterday.

Temperatures will be similar at the beach and in the coastal plain. We may see a couple of degrees of warming inland. We won't be too far off from seasonal averages.

There is a trough along the West Coast that will become more defined over the next couple of days.  It will deepen for the rest of the week, which means there will be a persistent marine layer pattern for the next few days.

By Thursday, we could even see some stratus clouds into the Santa Clarita Valley.  That will cool us down a few degrees.

By the weekend, the models are in disagreement. There is a possibility that the low will cut off to the south and a ridge of high pressure will nose in from the Pacific. This would set us up for a warm, dry wind event and could translate into high fire danger. It is way out there and the confidence is pretty low, but I'm watching for that.

Beaches - low 70s
Basin - mid to upper 70s
Valleys - low 90s
Deserts - upper 90s
Mountains - upper 70s
