LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Actor Matthew McConaughey and his long time girlfriend Camila Alves tied the knot yesterday in a private ceremony, according to People.

The two married at their Austin home, said the magazine.

The couple tried to keep the nuptials a secret but word leaked out last weekend that they were about to wed.

McConaughey, 42, first met Alves, a 30-year-old Brazilian-born model, in 2006. They got engaged in 2011 around Christmas.

The couple have two children, Levi who is almost 4 and Vida, 2.

McConaughey, named “Sexiest Man Alive” by People in 2005, will next been seen playing Dallas — a male stripper — in “Magic Mike,” due in theaters June 29.
