Man Wanted For Robbing Loma Linda Gas Station Attendant At Knifepoint

LOMA LINDA (CBS) — Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who robbed a gas station attendant at knifepoint.

Surveillance video captured images of a man wearing a surgical mask approach the counter of a Chevron gas station, 25690 Barton Road in Loma Linda, around 9:30 p.m. on June 7, San Bernardino Sheriff's officials said.

"The suspect was armed with a large black hunting knife and ordered the clerk to hand over the money," officials said in a statement.

The cashier complied with the demand and emptied the cash drawers from both registers. The suspect then fled the gas station on foot, sheriff's officials said.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, 150 to 180 pounds and under 5 foot 8 inches tall.

He was wearing a tan plaid jacket, blue pants, black sunglasses and a black beanie at the time of the robbery, said officials.

Anyone with information about the suspect should contact the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department at (909) 387-8313.
