Satisfy Subway's 'Add-vocado' Challenge With Chef Robert Irvine

STUDIO CITY (CBS)— It's "ADD-vocado Season" at SUBWAY® restaurants nationwide! Chef Robert Irvine is joining forces with the sandwich chain, promising to eat avocado every day for the next 84 days. He stopped by KCAL9 Thursday to talk about his culinary quest and his show "Restaurant: Impossible."

Irvine, who goes around fixing up restaurants across the country on the show, will get a special request from Michelle Obama. The first lady will challenge him to rebuild Horton's Kids, a children's community center in Washington that serves meals after school.

At the end, Michelle Obama will appear on the show to give her stamp of approval. The episode airs June 13.

Chef Irvine's: Wedge BLT

Ingredients:

1 head iceberg or bibb lettuce
4 nice tomatoes- heirloom
4 oz good blue cheese- maytag
8 oz precooked bacon
2 avocados
Sauce recipe plus vinegar
Sea Salt

Preparation:

Sauce: in a food processor puree avocado, rendering and yogurt until smooth, 1-2 minutes, then add seasonings and juice pulse 2-3 times and then remove and chill.

Pinch smoked paprika
Pinch sea salt
Pinch english mustard
1/4 cup yogurt plain
1 tbsp. Srirachia
