LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police shot at a man suspected of grand theft auto after he reportedly pointed a gun at officers Wednesday night. Authorities were looking for the suspect after he took off from the scene.
Police were called to 47th Street and Orchard Avenue at 8:05 p.m. after the shooting occurred, LAPD Officer Karen Rayner said.
The suspect fled on foot and police set up a perimeter in their effort to apprehend him, Rayner said.
It was unknown if the suspect was hit by the officers’ gunfire.
