SANTA MONICA (CBS) — A Venice man was out on bail Tuesday after he allegedly threw roofing nails in front of two Santa Monica flight schools.
Police observed Jeremiah Kean-Mayman, 31 on Thursday, May 31 at 9:30 p.m. riding a bicycle westbound at 2701 and 3011 Airport Avenue, according to Sgt. Richard Lewis of the Santa Monica Police Department.
He was observed by two on-duty Santa Monica Airport Service Officers reaching into a fanny pack and tossing approximately 1.5-inch nails into the driveways of both businesses, Lewis said.
Despite peppering the driveways with hundreds of nails, only one of the flight schools’ customers suffered any damage, according to the Santa Monica Daily Press.
The officers arrested him and booked him for attempted felony vandalism.
He was subsequently released on bail on Friday.
