Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (June 5)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The trough that kept us cloudy and cool Monday is shifting to the east. In its wake, we are looking at gusty winds and a pretty decent off-shore flow.

This element combined with less marine layer will translate into some weather over the next few days.

Look for a healthy bump in our daytime highs Wednesday with a stronger northerly gradient. We should be up into the 80s for downtown Los Angeles. Valleys should once again approach 90 degrees.

Thursday will be slightly cooler, but still well above average. Then, by the end of the week and into the weekend, another trough approaches to cool us down a bit.

We will also see the return of the marine layer. There is a wind advisory in effect for most mountain and desert areas through 8 p.m. tonight.

Beaches - low 70s
Basin - mid 70s
Valleys - upper 70s to low 80s
Deserts - low 70s
Mountains - mid 60s
