CAMARILLO (CBS) — Police Sunday continued to search for a man who allegedly grabbed two shoppers from behind at the Carmen Plaza Shopping Center in Camarillo.

A news release issued by authorities says the incident has happened at least twice at the shopping plaza on Carmen Road.

The first occurred on May 25 and the second on May 31. Both occurred about 8 p.m., authorities said.

In one instance, the suspect told a woman he worked for a store and needed to search her for stolen property.

A reward of up to $1,000 was being offered by the Ventura County Crime Stoppers for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact Detective Julie Novak at (805) 388-5115 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-TIPS (8477).
