DEL REY (CBS) — A man broke into a woman’s apartment Thursday and raped her, police reported.

The incident took place at approximately 4 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 12500 block of Culver Boulevard, according to a Los Angeles Police Department watch commander.

The victim was showering when the suspect forced his way into the apartment and raped her, the LAPD said.

The suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a new model, silver Nissan, that looked like a two-door coupe, according to police.

The suspect was described as white, five-foot-nine-inches, weighing 200 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, the LAPD reported.
