STUDIO CITY (CBS) —We will see some patchy low clouds in the coastal plain Thursday. However, with a slight ridge of high pressure in place, it should be confined to coastal areas.

Thursday should be the warmest day out of the next five to 10 days. We have a weak off-shore flow in place that will help to bring most valley temperatures well into the 90s.

We will cool off slightly tomorrow with a stronger on-shore flow. The marine layer thickens into the weekend with possible low cloud cover creeping into the San Gabriel and San Fernando valleys.

Winds should not be a problem, but it will be gusty in the Antelope Valley and along the I-5 corridor.

Temperatures will bottom out in the low 70s in the basin and into the low 80s for the valleys. All in all, we have nice summer weather ahead.

Beaches – low 70s
Basin – upper 70s to low 80s
Valleys – mid 90s
Deserts – near 100
Mountains – low -80s
