Vinny Del Negro To Return Next Season

LOS ANGELES (CBS) -- The Los Angeles Clippers announced on Tuesday that Vinny Del Negro will return next season as the Clippers head coach.

No contract terms were released, but the team exercised his option, meaning he will only be under contract for next season.

"We think we have the most talented roster in franchise history and Vinny turned that into the best record in franchise history," general manager Neil Olshey said by phone. "Clearly, there was never a question that Vinny was going to come back."

The Clippers were swept in the second round of the NBA Playoffs by the San Antonio Spurs.
