STUDIO CITY (CBS) — After a lovely Memorial Day, we can expect daytime highs to pull back just a bit as a trough sags ever so slightly to the south.

This will encourage some stronger on-shore flow and a slightly thicker marine layer. Look for highs downtown in the mid 70s and low to mid 80s for the valleys.

There will be a slight bump in temperature Wednesday as that trough lifts, but generally, we will see a slight cooling trend into the weekend with a more extensive marine layer.

By the weekend, our temperatures should be just a little bit below average.

Nevertheless, we are only talking about a three- to four-degree range in temperature over the next several days.

Beaches upper 60s
Basin -mid 70s
Valleys – low to mid 80s
Deserts -upper 80s
Mountains – upper 60s
