Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 28)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — I hope you are all enjoying the holiday weekend.

Look for some warmer weather today as a weak ridge of high pressure bumps into the area. Our daytime highs should hit slightly above average. We'll see mid-70s in the basin... low 70s at the beach... and upper 80s inland.

Yesterday's high only topped out at about 72 degrees. There are some patchy low clouds at the coast with an inversion at about 900'. However, any cloud cover that we do have should burn off fairly quickly. That means beach communities especially will notice some warmer temperatures today.

A disturbance tomorrow will cool us off with a thicker marine layer, then another ridge builds in for the middle of the week and our temperatures will rise once again. Temps should be near 90 degrees again in the valley.

Beaches - low 70s
Basin - mid 70s
Valleys - mid to upper 80s
Deserts - upper 80s
Mountains - upper 60s
