Elvis Presley Crypt Going On Auction Block
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The crypt that once held Elvis Presley's body after he died is going on the auction block.
Celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien is selling the Rock 'n' Roll legend's original crypt to the highest bidder as part of his "Music Icons" auction later this month.
The tomb is inside the granite and marble mausoleum at the Forest Lawn cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.
Presley was interred there alongside his mother, Gladys, after he died in August of 1977.
Two months later, they were re-buried at his home in Graceland.
The original crypt has been empty ever since.
