SAN DIEGO (CBS) — Authorities Sunday said a man was behind bars on suspicion of robbing two boys, ages 11 and 12, at knifepoint.
The incident in San Diego’s Ocean Beach neighborhood occurred Saturday afternoon, according to KNX 1070′s Claudia Peschiutta.
San Diego police Officer Greg Mervich says a man on a gold skateboard approached the boys, pulled out a switchblade and demanded money.
He says one of the kids did have some cash which he gave to the man, who then took off.
Mervich says police were able to apprehend the suspect following a brief scuffle.
Neither of the boys was injured.
