OXNARD (CBS) — A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a boy at a Walmart in Oxnard.
In a press release issued by Oxnard police, authorities say the incident Friday night occurred in the electronics area of the store at 2001 North Rose Avenue and was captured on surveillance tape.
Juan Francisco Gonzalez of Oxnard was placed under arrest after returning to the store about 8 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, a loss prevention agent recognized Gonzalez from the videotape and notified authorities.
Gonzalez is also “person of interest” in a similar incident at a Walmart store in Oxnard back in January, according to police.
He is being held at Ventura County Jail.
Anyone with more information regarding this incident was asked to contact police at (805) 385-7740 or Detective Luis McArthur at (805) 385-7662.
