The accident happened just before 2 p.m. in the 2600 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks police said.

The woman and three of her children were transported to Los Robles Medical Center.

Paramedics rushed one child to the hospital in serious condition. The other three victims suffered moderate injuries, according to police.

The fourth child, a baby in a stroller, was not hurt because the mother pushed the stroller out of the way before impact, Swindle said.

The driver of the van stopped and cooperated with police. Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
