LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Two fatal motorcycle accidents were reported Saturday with a 64-year-old man dying in Norco and a 29-year-old man being killed in Simi Valley, according to authorities.
In the Norco crash, the 64-year-old Norco man — identified as John Neil Cupp — was killed when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a van that turned left in front of him, according to the coroner’s office.
It happened about 8:26 a.m. at the intersection of River Road and Trail Street in Norco, the coroner’s report said.
Cupp was taken to Corona Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:47 a.m. Cupp was wearing a helmet, the report said.
In Simi Valley, an accident around 12:!5 a.m. Saturday, claimed the life of 29-year-old William Loworn.
Driving a 2007 Suzuki north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard near Santa Susana Pass Road, it is believed Loworn’s vehicle collided with the rear of a 2001 Jeep Wrangler driven by Steven Jones, 47, of Chatsworth.
Loworn was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jones remained at the accident site and did not complain of any injuries, according to the LAPD.
