VALENCIA (CBS) —  A 39-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Valencia Thursday.

The motorcycle was going east on Decoro Drive when it collided with a van that was turning from northbound Rutherford Place to westbound Decoro Drive at 6 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The motorcyclist driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately available.

Anyone who witnessed the collision was asked to call Detective Mike Shapiro of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 799-5111.
