Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 14)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — We have low clouds rolling into the Southland again this morning.

The marine layer should be strong enough to penetrate into the valleys. Temperatures should be similar to Sunday, but possibly a few degrees warmer. We'll be in the low 70s for the basin and low to mid 80s for the valleys.

A ridge of high pressure will slowly build in by Wednesday. Basin temperatures should get closer to average, while the valleys hit the 90s.

Then we cool it back down for the end of the week. The basic pattern of morning clouds and afternoon sun will be in place for the long term. Very typical May Gray. Watch out for some sundowner winds in Santa Barbara County this evening.

Beaches -upper 60s
Basin - low 70s
Valleys - mid 80s
Deserts -low 90s
Mountains - mid 70s
