Sparks’ Home Opener Bumped Back For NBA, NHL Playoffs

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Sparks have moved their home opener against Seattle from May 20 to May 22 to accommodate NBA and NHL playoff games at Staples Center.

The team said Sunday that tickets purchased for the game scheduled for May 20 will be good for the new date.

The Sparks open the WNBA season Friday at Seattle before the same teams play at Staples on May 22.

The Los Angeles Kings and Clippers will host playoff games at the arena next Sunday, which forced the Sparks to move their home opener.
