Dine On A Dime: Lazy Ox Canteen

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The Lazy Ox Canteen is a downtown LA gastropub that aims to serve standard fare in an artistic way at an affordable price.

Their stated philosophy? “Quality eating.”

The owner, creator, chef and general manager hail from Japan, Spain and Los Angeles, respectively — forming a partnership that adds to this restaurant’s charm and diversity. And a great menu. Clam fritter sandwich? We’re there!

Since their opening, Lazy Ox Canteen has been called “LA’s best new restaurant” (Angeleno Magazine), been given 3 stars (The LA Times) and awarded “best burger” (by Eater LA.)
