Nominations Announced For 39th Annual Daytime Emmys

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced nominations for the 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Wednesday in New York.

The awards -- for excellence in daytime dramas, talk, children's, game and food programming -- will be presented Saturday June 23rd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The show remains without a broadcast outlet.

ABC had the most nominations with 55, including nominations for the canceled soaps "All My Children" and "One Life to Live."  CBS daytime had 32 nods.

The nominations for Outstanding Drama Series are "All My Children," "Days of Our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless."

The nominations for Outstanding Talk Show are "Ellen Degeneres," "Live with Regis and Kelly," "The Talk," and "The View."

The nominations for Outstanding Talk (Informative) are "Anderson," "The Dr. Oz Show," "The Doctors."

The nominations for Lead Actress in a drama are Crystal Chappell (Carly) "Days of Our Lives," Debbi Morgan (Angie) "All My Children," Erika Slezak (Viki) "One Life to Live," Heather Tom (Katie) "Bold and Beautiful" and Laura Wright (Carly) "General Hospital."

The nominations for Lead Actor in a drama are Maurice Benard (Sonny) "General Hospital," Anthony Geary (Luke) "General Hospital," John McCook (Eric) "Bold and Beautiful," Darnell Williams (Jesse) "All My Children" and Robert S. Woods (Bo) "One Life to Live."

"The View" co-executivc producer Bill Geddie will receive a Lifetime Achievement Emmy.
