Following Arrest For Child Porn, Long Beach Officer Arrested For Alleged Lewd Offenses

LONG BEACH (CBS) —  Less than three weeks after being arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography, a nine-year veteran of the Long Beach Police Department was arrested for suspicion of multiple counts of sexually-based offenses, authorities said Wednesday.

Since Officer Noe Yanez was initially arrested on April 19, additional alleged victims were located and interviewed.

On Monday, the District Attorney's Office filed multiple counts against Yanez, said Lisa Massacani of the Long Beach Police Department.

Yanez was booked for additional offenses, including arranging to meet a minor for lewd purposes, Massacani said.

Yanez is jailed in lieu of $951,000 bail, Massacani said.

The officer was suspended without pay following his arrest last month.
