STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The marine layer has been squashed a bit this morning, but it’s still running between 1,000 and 1,500 feet deep.

It will sneak into some valley spots, but an off-shore flow will kick it out very quickly.

Look for some warmer temperatures as the ridge of high pressure from the west and a cut-off low to the east enhance the off-shore flow.

We should top out in the upper 70s to low 80s downtown and could see some 90-degree readings inland.

The high breaks down for a day or two for Wednesday and Thursday, but by Friday, the high pressure returns and we are looking at some warm temperatures. In fact, we will stay well above average all the way into the middle of next week.

Beaches -low 70s
Basin – upper 70s to low 80s
Valleys – upper 80s to low 90s
Deserts -upper 80s
Mountains – low 60s
