Descanso Gardens To Mark National Public Gardens Day With Art Exhibit

LA CANADA (CBS) — The fourth annual National Public Gardens Day is almost here and David Brown, of Descanso Gardens, visited KCAL9 to discuss how they will mark the occasion.

Descanso Gardens is celebrating by opening up their second art exhibit at the Sturt Haaga Gallery.

The art show, "Seen & Scene" is curated by noted artist and L.A. art-world figure John David O'Brien, and will showcase seven contemporary Californian artists using the landscape as a theme through mixed media.

The gallery is open on May 11 from 9 am - 5 pm with extended hours from 5 pm - 7 pm. Cocktails and light fare available for purchase.

Visitors can download vouchers for free admission to Descanso Gardens on National Public Gardens Day available at the Better Homes and Gardens website (select Descanso Gardens and then download a voucher for two adult admissions).
