8 Injured, 5 Seriously, After 3-Car Crash In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Eight people were injured -- five seriously --in a three- vehicle crash in Los Angeles Sunday afternoon, a city fire official said.

The crash was reported about 4:20 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Eight people were transported to hospitals. Five of those transported were in serious condition, Scott said.

Victims ranged in age from 16 to 57, he said.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
