COVINA (CBS) — A woman was killed and three others — including a 7-month-old baby — were injured when a car slammed into pedestrians in Covina.

Officials say the woman was waiting to cross the street at San Bernardino Road and Vincent Avenue when a car — going east — and truck — headed west — collided in the intersection when one of the drivers attempted to make a left turn.

One of the vehicles veered onto the sidewalk killing the woman and injuring three of four members of her family.

The crash occurred at 5:20 p.m.

The deceased was a Covina resident in her 30s, according to authorities.

Investigators do not believe drinking was a factor in the crash.
