Homeland Security Agent Allegedly Shot To Death By His Son, 14

CARSON (CBS) — A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly shooting his father, a Homeland Security agent, as he sat in the family room of their Carson home Wednesday night.

Sheriff's officials said Myron Chisem, 42, was found dead after the boy called 911 and said his father had been shot in the back of the head by a bullet fired through a window from the backyard of their home.

Lt. Holly Francisco said evidence at the scene and the boy's statements led to the arrest.

"I am deeply saddened to report that one of our ICE Homeland Security investigations special agents died tragically at his home in the Los Angeles area overnight," Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton said in a statement. "This is a difficult time for ICE, especially for the family and the loved ones. Please keep them in your prayers."

No motive for the killing was released.
