MALIBU (CBS) — Courtney Wagner, daughter of actor Robert Wagner and the late Natalie Wood, was arrested in Malibu on suspicion of drug possession, along with a man who was arrested on suspicion of a weapons violation, authorities said Monday.

Wagner, 38, and Matthew Cox, 24, were arrested about 6 p.m. April 22 at a residence in the 24400 block of Piuma Road, said Steve Whitmore of the sheriff’s Department.

Wagner was booked on suspicion drug possession, and Cox was booked on suspicion of discharging a firearm in a negligent manner, Whitmore said. Bail was set at $10,000 for Wagner, who was released the day after her arrest. Bail was set at $35,000 for Cox, also released a day after his arrest.

Deputies sent to the home on a report of a possible shooting detained Wagner and Cox and recovered a handgun, Whitmore said. No one was injured, Whitmore said.

According to TMZ.com , the arrests took place after a fight at Wagner’s home that led to a gunshot, and she was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and heroin. Someone heard a woman screaming and called authorities, TMZ reported.
