Lake Elsinore Police Search For Attempted Kidnapping Suspect

LAKE ELSINORE (CBS) — Police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap at 15-year-old girl who was walking home from school.

The girl was walking home from Lakeside High School Wednesday afternoon when she was approached by a suspect driving a blue Honda Accord with tinted windows, Lake Elsinore police said.

As she approached the intersection of Grand Avenue and Fairview Street, the suspect asked her if she needed a ride, according to officials. The victim ignored him and walked past the car.

"A few moments later, the suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her with both hands. In an effort to escape his grasp, the victim struck the suspect in the face with a spiked track shoe and ran home and called the police," police said in a news release.

The Honda was last seen driving South on Grand Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has a shaved head with numerous tattoos around his neck and piercings on his lip and eyebrow.
