Detectives Search For Clues In Murder Of Unidentified Man In Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CBS) — Anaheim police Thursday searched for leads in the shooting death of an unidentified man in front of an Anaheim apartment complex.

Officers responding to calls of shots fired at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday found the victim in the walkway to an apartment complex in the 300 block of East Clifton Avenue, Sgt. Bob Dunn said.

The victim was described as a Latino man. The deceased was not carrying identification, Dunn said.

The victim was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he was pronounced dead, Dunn said.

“We have no suspect information and don’t know the victim,” Dunn said.

There are some active gangs in that neighborhood, but it is not considered a high-crime area, Dunn said.
