HEMET (CBS) — A man was in jail Tuesday after he allegedly fired shots at his neighbor who scolded him for urinating in public.
Police say a neighbor spotted Charles Michael Bourdon, 21, urinating Monday night in the bushes outside of an apartment complex in the 100 block of North Columbia Avenue in Hemet.
When Bourdon was confronted around 10 p.m., he reportedly pulled out a gun and fired two shots, missing the neighbor, Hemet police said.
Bourdon was apprehended by officers as he tried to run away. He was arrested for suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Bourdon was already wanted by authorities for failing to appear on charges of resisting arrest and battery on a police officer, officials said. He is being held on $1 million bail.
