Runyon Canyon offers three hiking trails perfectly suited for a stroll or a more vigorous workout with your pet. Here you will enjoy scenic views of the city and the beaches from the canyon peaks. This 160-acre park has three entrances: Fuller Avenue, N. Vista Street and Runyon Canyon Road. CBS LA Insider's Tip: Although the area features plenty of refreshments, there are no restrooms, so be prepared.

The Redondo Beach Dog Park in Dominguez Park features a turfed and fenced three-acre dog run with separate areas for large and small dogs. Dog owners may relax on benches without worry while the pups play, sniff and sip from provided water bowls. CBS LA Insider's tip: At peak hours parking may be a bit of challenge, so opt for street parking.
