The victim initially met Ramirez, 36, of San Clemente, on social networking website Badoo, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

After meeting at a local McDonald's on April 3, the two went to the Aloha Motel in the 2400 block of South Main Street near Warner Avenue, where the victim said Ramirez began performing a cleansing ritual that involved waving an raw egg across her body.

"When he gets to her groin area, she becomes upset, tries to protect herself, she starts screaming," said Bertagna.

Ramirez then allegedly jumped on top of the victim and started to choke her while threatening to kill her, according to Bertagna.

The 33-year-old victim from Simi Valley contacted the police, who instructed her to arrange another meeting with Ramirez on Tuesday. He agreed and was immediately taken into custody upon arrival.

Ramirez was being held on $100,000 bail in addition to an immigration hold, the Orange County Register reported.
