AGUA DULCE (CBS) — Firefighters Sunday knocked down a 9-acre brush fire in Agua Dulce.

The fire broke out just before 1 p.m. in medium brush on the south shoulder of the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Vasquez Rocks.

As of 1:50 p.m., authorities reported that the fire was fully contained and held to a total of nine acres.

No evacuations were issued and no structures had been threatened.

The Los Angeles County Firefighter Community reported via Twitter that the carpool lanes on the northbound 14 Freeway are currently open.
