USC Social Work Program Aims To Help Veterans Suffering With PTSD

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — It's a one of a kind program aimed at helping men and women who've seen combat...and the military personnel who can't shake the haunting images of war.

A USC masters program in social work is helping veterans deal with the stresses of war, specifically post traumatic stress disorder, more commonly referred to as PTSD.

USC's Center for Innovation and Research (CIR) has been helping vets and their families since 2009. Their stated aim, "to strengthen the transition of veterans and their families into the community [using]  four pillars—research, innovation, education/training and partnerships.
