Murder Of Moreno Valley Woman During ATM Robbery Remains Unsolved

MORENO VALLEY (CBS) — Moreno Valley police are hoping to generate new leads in the shooting death of a 23-year-old woman.

Carrie Thomas was shot and killed during a robbery on March 27, 2011.

According to authorities, Thomas had just ended her shift at Shakey's Pizza and went to the bank just before midnight to withdraw money.

Thomas and her boyfriend Ryan were going to make a payment the next day on a house they were planning on sharing with their 2-year-old son, Riley.

As Thomas pulled into the drive-up ATM, a man with a gun approached Thomas and shot her. She later died at a hospital.

Police have no DNA evidence and the only lead in the case is a grainy ATM photo.

Anyone with information about thus murder is asked to contact Moreno Valley police.

The bank where Carrie was killed is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of her killer.
