When the Maloof brothers, mayor Kevin Johnson and David Stern announced late in February that a new deal was struck to keep the Kings in Sacramento, there was much celebration. The hurdle had been jumped, the hole was dug out of. At one time it seemed like a given the Maloofs would be moving the Kings somewhere. But at the eleventh hour, a deal was made.
