RESEDA (CBS) — A suspicious package Tuesday prompted the evacuation of a Jons Market in Reseda, as well as neighboring businesses and homes.

A call went out to authorities about 5 p.m. of the item resembling a hand grenade.

It was found behind the grocery store in the 18100 block of Sherman Way.

According to police, nearby businesses and homes have been evacuated. It was not immediately clear if Sherman Way would be shut down.
