Search Under Way For Man Suspected Of Domestic Violence, Kidnapping

HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Los Angeles police Tuesday were searching for a man suspected of domestic violence and kidnapping in Hollywood.

Police were dispatched to an apartment building in the 6100 block of Eleanor Avenue about 12:30 p.m. following a "domestic violence call."

Upon arrival, officers found an injured woman. She was taken to local hospital. Her current condition was not known.

The suspect -- armed with a gun -- fled shortly thereafter with three children.

Two of the children -- identified as a 7-year-old and 5-month-old -- were dropped off at a fire station located near Oxford and Melrose. Both were believed to have been unharmed and were expected to be reunited with their mother.

The third child, a 5-year-old girl, was also located. She is believed to be the suspect's daughter and may have been dropped off at a relative's house.

The suspect is still outstanding.
