Man Critically Injured In Chemical Explosion In City Of Industry
INDUSTRY (CBS) — A man suffered critical injuries this weekend in a chemical explosion in the city of Industry.
The blast in the 14400 block of Lomitas Avenue occurred about 1:15 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities.
Initial reports had indicated that two people were injured. However, a subsequent alert issued by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department identified only one victim.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is listed as critical.
City News Service reports that the incident occurred at Laguna Clay Company.
