CARSON (CBS)  — The LA County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a 23-year-old man who went missing Tuesday.

Elgin Stafford is a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds. He has a tattoo of a bonsai tree on his right shoulder.

Stafford was last seen at his residence on the 20000 block of Campaign Drive in Carson at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

He was wearing a dark jacket, multi-colored pants and a black shirt.

Detectives say Stafford has no know psychiatric issues, but had recently been exhibiting erratic behavior.

Anyone with information on Stafford’s whereabouts is urged to contact the LASD’s Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500.
