SUN VALLEY (CBS) — An armed robbery suspect was shot and killed Wednesday in a confrontation with Los Angeles police officers in Sun Valley, authorities said.
The unidentified man died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred around 1:15 p.m. near La Tuna Canyon Road and Wheatland Avenue, according to Los Angeles police Officer Karen Rayner of media relations.
The man was a suspect in a robbery that occurred about 12:45 p.m. in the 8700 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, Rayner said. He reportedly had been chased to the location in a vehicle.
No officers were hurt.
The shooting remained under investigation.
