STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Author Mark Bego stopped by the KCAL9 studios Monday to talk about his two new books on Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston.

Bego is a professional writer who is called “The Number One Best-Selling Pop Biographer” in Publisher’s Weekly and has been referred to in the press as “The Prince of Pop Music Bio’s.” He has authored over 58 published books involving rock & roll and show business. He has penned two New York Times bestsellers, a Los Angeles Times bestseller, and the Chicago Tribune bestseller Dancing in the Street: Confessions of a Motown Diva written with its subject, Martha Reeves of the beloved recording group: Martha & The Vandellas.

Bego has also written biographies on Michael Jackson, Madonna, Elvis and many other celebrities.
