Pasadena Firefighters Giving Away Sandbags, Sand
PASADENA (CBS) — Pasadena firefighters are giving away sand and sandbags as foothills residents brace for a late winter storm.
Outside Fire Station 37 at 3430 E. Foothill Boulevard, a do-it-yourself station has been set up with bags and sand available on a first-come, first-serve basis, according to officials.
The materials are also available at Fire Station 38 at 1150 Linda Vista in Pasadena.
Forecasters predict a half-inch to 1 1/2 inches around the Los Angeles Basin.
CBS2 Meteorologist Kaj Goldberg says the foothill regions could get up to 3 inches of rainfall.
