At Least 6 Injured In Collision Between Blue Line Train And Car Downtown

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — At least six people have been injured after a Metro Blue Line train and car crashed downtown, according to authorities.

One person was possibly ejected from the vehicle and at least one has to be extricated, said witnesses at the scene.

Nearly 40 firefighters are on scene.

The extent of all the injuries is unknown.

The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. at Venice Boulevard and Flower Streets, according to Cecil Manresa of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Authorities said there will be major traffic delays downtown. The Blue Line has been suspended between Pico and Grand.

    being that Mexicans don’t speak or read english, this will happen again and again.

    Hey, lets not be racist; I know a lot of Mexicans that do speak and read english.

    One would rationally conclude that if you lived in a country for a while, MAYBE it would be a good idea to LEARN some simple words in that nation’s language! It could save your life! But it will never happen because they are coddled and protected from the time they arrive till the time they hit the train..
